Personal notes stay separate from source facts

Character cards preserve the exact character collected. Word cards use source-attested script pairs. Original examples and all source credits remain intact. No audio is fabricated. Classical passages keep their source spelling and excerpt-level teaching notes regardless of these language/script choices; tone cards require a separate character entry.

Import into Anki · two clear paths

Quick start

Leave Stable-ID export off. Import the UTF-8 TSV in Anki, choose the Basic note type (or its localized equivalent), map Front and Back, and allow HTML. Tags and destination deck are included in the file headers. Check Anki’s import preview before importing. A repeated front can update an existing note; this simple mode is best for a first import.

Keep updating the same notes

Enable Stable-ID export. Once, create a note type named zimai with fields in this order: ID, Front, Back. Set its front template to {{Front}} and back template to {{FrontSide}}<hr id="answer">{{Back}}. Import with ID as the first field. Later exports with the same question preset, language and script retain those IDs, so Anki can update their contents while keeping review history. Changing these choices creates a different card identity.

Recommended card styling: .card { font-family: "Noto Sans CJK TC", "Noto Sans CJK SC", sans-serif; font-size: 20px; line-height: 1.6; text-align: left; } .study-credit { font-size: 12px; }. Anki uses fonts installed on the study device; website fonts and audio are not bundled.

Official Anki import documentation ↗. This release exports text notes, not an .apkg package. A JSON backup additionally preserves all lists, personal notes, source records and attached examples.

Private on this device · no account or synchronization. Clearing browser data can remove your lists. Download backups regularly; exports preserve source licenses and attribution.
